Park comfort stations are often your best option — they are located in outdoor areas where dogs are naturally present. Many parks with off-leash areas have facilities within or near the off-leash zone. You can secure your leash to a post or fence (briefly) while using a facility if you can see your dog from the entrance.
Dog-Welcoming Businesses
Some businesses specifically welcome dogs, including many outdoor cafes, pet supply stores and hardware stores (Home Depot and Lowe's, for example, generally allow leashed dogs). These locations also have customer restrooms. Call ahead if you are uncertain.
